Frequently
Asked Questions
Q:
What is Touch Vac made out of?
A: The durable, patented Touch Vac lid is constructed
out of polycarbonate, the same material used to make aircraft
windshields. The base is made out of polypropylene.
Q:
Where can I use Touch Vac?
A: Touch Vac is freezer, refrigerator, microwave and
dishwasher safe. It can be taken straight from the freezer to
the microwave and to the dishwasher, time and time again.
Q:
How does the date dial work?
A: This great feature allows you to indicate the date
you stored your food. Simply turn the dial to that day's date
no
more wondering how long food's been in there!
Q:
Is there a guarantee or warranty?
A: Yes. There is a 12 MONTH guarantee and warranty which
is explained when you receive your Touch Vac.
Q:
Is this the same kind of vacuum as I can get with a Vacuum Machine?
A: No. This is a highly effective vacuum seal, but only
a vacuum motor can create a total vacuum. You will love the
easy, simple and affordable convenience of Touch Vac, especially
for storing leftovers and smaller items.
Q:
How does Touch Vac work?
A: As you can see from the web-demonstrations, fit the
top around the rim, lock down the handles (just push them down
and they are "locked") and push firmly down in the
center of the top. You can actually hear the air escaping and
see the red vacuum indicator go down. You have then created
the vacuum seal.
Q:
How do I know it is really sealed?
A: Once you have pushed the top down and the red vacuum
indicator is down, you can actually lift the handles back up
and pick up the entire container and the air tight seal will
keep the top on all by itself!!
NOTE:
Please use common sense when trying this. In the larger containers,
gravity may be a stronger force than the seal created and it
is possible for it to come apart!!!
Q:
What if the red vacuum indicator doesn't go all the way down?
A: To make sure no air escapes through the red rubber
indicator, we have made them a little thicker than the original
indicators. If you have pressed down on the top and the indicator
hasn't gone down, lightly touch the red indicator, and if the
seal is created, it will go down with just a little help, but
it won't stay unless the seal is created.
Q:
Are Touch Vac's easy to store?
A: Yes. You can stack them inside each other when not
using them, and they stack very nicely on top of each other
in the refrigerator or the freezer when there is food in them.
