Steaming
in Whistle Vac
Place vegetables and about 1/4-1/2 cup water in Touch Vac container and cover with lid. Steam will escape through the vacuum valve. The time table is a suggestion, but microwaves cook differently. Remember to undercook first; you can always cook for longer. Steaming vegetables in Touch Vac in the microwave is easy and healthy. By using a small amount of water, the nutrients stay in the vegetables, and the vegetables still cook properly. 2 cups cauliflower: 4-5 minutes. 2 cups broccoli: 4-5 minutes. 2 cups carrots: 3-4 minutes. 2 cups Brussels sprouts: 5-6 minutes. 2 cups green beans: 3-5 minutes 2 cups asparagus: varies on thickness |
